On Janurary 30th, Melissa had he first doctor appointment. After answering many questions and getting an exam, it was time to listen for a heart beat. We were on the earlier side for hearing the baby's heart beat, but the doctor tried anyway. Using a small device that looked like a walkman with a mircophone, the doctor began to probe Melissa's abdomin for the baby's heartbeat.
We were both disappointed that the doctor was unable to find the heartbeat, but we knew that it was early, and the doctor didn't know exactly were to look. The doctor decided to get us in for an Ultrasound. We wanted to get in the same day, but instead we had to wait until Monday.
Melissa was convinced that something was wrong, even after I asked the doctor to tell here that evey thing is fine.
We must now wait until Monday....
